If you believe in Fleisher's mission and are looking for practical experience to develop your professional career, join Fleisher as the Fall/Winter Special Event Intern. This role will provide hands-on experiences, offering the chance to work with our Audience Engagement Department in all stages of planning two of Fleisher's annual events, Handmade for the Holidays and Print Love-In, from targeting potential vendors, musicians, and performers to volunteer acquisition and event logistics.
The special event intern will also gain insight into non-profit community art organizations; as well as become familiar with fundraising, marketing and event set-up.
Successful candidates will:
» Have experience in event, gallery and/or program planning
» Be familiar with Philadelphia's community arts organizations, artists and
» Have design and artistic skills
» Availability until mid February
» Work well independently
Although this internship is unpaid, interns are eligible to receive free tuition for one Fleisher workshop and we can work with students to assist in receiving college credit.
Hours Per Week:
The internship will take place in an office setting with occasional errands. Time commitment is 5 hours per week, flexible start time in September ending mid February. Schedule will be flexible based on the ideal candidate's availability but must be in attendance the day of the event.
