The Fleisher Art Memorial is the nation’s oldest tuition-free
community art school. Today, Fleisher offers over 70 classes and workshops for
adults per term, operates a year-round exhibits program including the
prestigious Wind Challenge Exhibition Series, and provides art instruction to
young people in Philadelphia’s public schools through its Community Partnership
in the Arts programs well as through its renowned Saturday Young Artists'

Art education and community engagement are at the core of
Fleisher‘s long-term goals. The Program Intern works under the supervision of
the Registrar and with the programs team to maintain accurate student records
and assist with our daily operations.
Fleisher team consists of a group of people committed to excellence. We all
cherish our place as a vanguard arts education institution in Philadelphia that
also serves as a model across the country. The Program intern will learn to
work with databases and logic models, create search criteria to hone in on
problem areas and work with different areas of the programs department to see
how a programs department is run at a small community arts center.
Work with Fleisher’s Program Department doing a variety of
administrative tasks. Some examples of needed tasks might be:

Although this internship is unpaid, interns are eligible to
receive free tuition for one Fleisher workshop and we can work with students to
assist in receiving college credit.
Hours Per Week:
The internship will take place in an office setting. Time
commitment is 6-10 hours per week, ongoing.
