September 2026 – November 2026, with the possibility of additional term opportunities
Position Summary Fleisher Art Memorial is seeking portrait and figure models to support drawing, painting, and sculpture classes within our Adult Education program. Models work closely with teaching artists and students to create a professional, welcoming, and respectful studio environment that supports observational learning and artistic development.
Models may pose clothed or nude for a range of class formats, including long poses, short gestures, portrait sessions, and multi-week courses. This role is an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant community arts environment while supporting students of varying skill levels in developing their artistic practice.
Who You Are You are dependable and comfortable working in an arts education setting with diverse groups of students and faculty. You can hold poses for extended periods of time, take direction from instructors, and contribute to a respectful and collaborative studio atmosphere.
You are punctual and understand the importance of professionalism and consistency in a classroom environment. Previous modeling experience is welcome but not required. Fleisher encourages models of all body types, gender identities, ages, races, and backgrounds to apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled modeling sessions
- Hold a variety of poses for assigned lengths of time, including gesture, seated, standing, and reclining poses
- Collaborate with instructors regarding pose needs, timing, and classroom setup
- Maintain a professional and respectful studio environment for students, faculty, and staff
- Communicate promptly with Fleisher staff regarding scheduling conflicts or absences
- Follow all studio policies and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Ability to hold poses for extended periods with reliability and focus
- Professional, punctual, and responsive in communications with Fleisher staff
- Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
- Previous figure or portrait modeling experience preferred, but not required
Compensation and Benefits for Part-Time Models
- $25/hour
- Free admission to the Philadelphia Museum of Art
- Complimentary annual membership to Fleisher Art Memorial

The van is equipped with the tools and supplies needed for Fleisher’s teaching artists to guide community members in hands-on, culturally inspired mini-workshops, collaborative public art projects, and demonstrations of art techniques.
