- ABOUT JUROR: Samantha M Connors lives in Philly creating work that examines and finds action points against capitalism's effect on our collective health and the condition of the world around us. Their work exists both within the studio where they create tactile sculptural forms based on documented objects and spaces in Philadelphia, and out in practice and partnership with neighbors creating spaces of care and connection. In 2014, they graduated with their BFA from Tyler School of Art, and have since completed residencies at Cassis Artist Residency in France, Ora Lerman Trust Soaring Gardens in Laceyville, PA, The Sable Project Residency in Stockbridge, VT, The 319 AIR at Pink Noise Projects in Philadelphia, PA, and Bischoff Inn in Tamaqua, PA. Samantha is the Executive Director of Da Vinci Art Alliance, an artist collaborative that uses art as a tool to build collective resilience and serve on the Leadership Team of Science Events, a project of the Experimental Practice team at the MIT Museum.
