Fleisher in 1898 as one of the nation’s first community-based art centers, Fleisher Art Memorial (FAM) is renowned for its long-standing mission of making art accessible regardless of economic means, background, or artistic experience. Fleisher provides free and low-cost studio art classes and opportunities for emerging and seasoned artists to exhibit their work. Extensive arts education and community-based programming also reflect the organization’s commitment to strengthening communities by developing, sharing, and promoting creative resources.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing content strategies across digital platforms, including social media, email marketing, and the organization’s website. This role involves creating compelling content, managing social media channels, optimizing digital campaigns, and analyzing key performance metrics to enhance audience engagement and brand visibility. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Digital Marketing Coordinator collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that marketing strategies align with Fleisher’s mission and industry best practices.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement content strategies for digital channels, including social media, blogs, and email marketing.
- Create engaging, high-quality content, including text, images, and videos, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
- Manage social media platforms by scheduling posts, responding to comments, and moderating online communities.
- Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies to maximize engagement.
- Maintain an active and cross-departmental schedule of digital content deliverables.
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to promote programs, services, and events.
- Segment email lists and personalize messaging to improve engagement and conversions.
- Track and optimize email campaign performance using analytics tools.
- Conduct keyword research and optimize website content to improve search engine rankings.
- Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform digital strategy.
- Generate performance reports and recommend improvements for digital marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that marketing strategies support the organization's objectives.
- Update and program onsite digital communications tools, including digital lobby screens and shared intranet files.
- Utilize digital marketing tools, such as social media management platforms, email marketing software, and analytics dashboards.
- Stay informed about the latest digital marketing trends and best practices.
- Manage digital marketing budgets and track spending.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Skills:
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
- Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management systems (CMS) for website updates and optimization.
- Experience using Google Analytics to track performance and implement improvements.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and prioritization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Understanding of content planning, approval processes, and digital content calendars.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in digital marketing and social media.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- The Dene M. Louchheim Fellowship is available to all faculty except painters.
- Applicants should have been employed as Fleisher Faculty at least during the previous 24-month period (June 2023– June 2025) and taught a minimum of two courses.
- Award amount is $1,000.
- Awardees shall use the funds to support investment in artist’s materials, the hiring of models, professional development, or work-related travel.

- Juror Information: Samantha M Connors lives in Philly creating work that examines and finds action points against capitalism's effect on our collective health and the condition of the world around us. Their work exists both within the studio where they create tactile sculptural forms based on documented objects and spaces in Philadelphia, and out in practice and partnership with neighbors creating spaces of care and connection. In 2014, they graduated with their BFA from Tyler School of Art, and have since completed residencies at Cassis Artist Residency in France, Ora Lerman Trust Soaring Gardens in Laceyville, PA, The Sable Project Residency in Stockbridge, VT, The 319 AIR at Pink Noise Projects in Philadelphia, PA, and Bischoff Inn in Tamaqua, PA. Samantha is the Executive Director of Da Vinci Art Alliance, an artist collaborative that uses art as a tool to build collective resilience and serve on the Leadership Team of Science Events, a project of the Experimental Practice team at the MIT Museum.

ColorWheels is Fleisher’s mobile art studio, launched in 2012 and delivering creative experiences directly to community members in neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia.
The van is equipped with the tools and supplies needed for Fleisher’s teaching artists to guide community members in hands-on, culturally inspired mini-workshops, collaborative public art projects, and demonstrations of art techniques.
